Job Summary
The CNA position provides resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting under RN supervision, including assistance with activities of daily living, transferring/repositioning residents using proper techniques, taking and recording vital signs, supporting meals and hydration, and assisting with housekeeping and care documentation. Responsibilities include ensuring infection prevention and PPE use, participating in wellness and recreational programs, and communicating changes in residents' conditions to the charge nurse. Requires CNA certification and successful completion of facility-mandated trainings; previous long-term care experience preferred; high school diploma or GED preferred. Night shift, 40 hours per week, with a sign-on bonus offered in some cases. Emphasis on delivering compassionate, patient-centered care and adherence to care plans.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (preferred but not required)
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with state board or in process of obtaining certification
- Maintains annual continuing education requirements
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
- Satisfactory completion of annual competency testing and ongoing certifications as required by facility
