Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, psychosocial support, transferring/repositioning, range of motion exercises, meal assistance, and documentation of resident interactions. Ensures infection prevention and PPE as per policy, supports wellness and recreational programs, and may participate in committees. Requires CNA certification and ongoing competency maintenance; shift variability includes nights/weekends with a FLEX schedule and premium differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- High school graduate or GED preferred
- Minimum age 16
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
- Maintains certifications and continuing education requirements
- Satisfactory completion of competency testing and driving eligibility if applicable
- Eligible for a sign-on bonus
