Job Summary
CNA provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to residents in a long-term care setting under RN supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing), obtaining and recording vital signs, transfer and mobility assistance, feeding and dining support, basic health care tasks per the care plan, infection prevention and PPE use, documentation of resident interactions, communication of changes to the charge nurse, and participation in wellness and recreational programs. The role may involve housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain clean living areas and may include involvement in departmental or organizational committees. Requires CNA certification and ongoing competency/continuing education as specified; schedule varies with nights and weekends and FLEX scheduling with differential pay.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- CNA training and certification required and provided by facility
- High school graduate or GED preferred but not required
