Job Summary

Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under RN supervision. Perform tasks including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, obtaining vital signs, and assisting with transfers, repositioning, and walking. Support food preparation and dining while maintaining clean living areas and encouraging participation in wellness and recreational programs. Document resident interactions, behaviors, and dietary needs; communicate changing conditions to the charge nurse; and collect non-invasive body fluid specimens. Adhere to infection prevention policies and PPE use. Maintain competency through yearly testing and 12 hours of annual continuing education. Requires CNA certification (or enrollment within four months), minimum age of 16, and valid driver's license if driving duties apply. Full-time day shift with 36 weekly hours and 12-hour rotations.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 16
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
  • Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
  • Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
  • A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually
  • Maintains all department specific required certifications
  • Certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry (when applicable)
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable)
  • Medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position

Desired Qualifications

  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
