Job Summary
Nursing Assistant (NA) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities (bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing), obtaining and recording vital signs, transferring and repositioning residents, range of motion and passive exercises, assisting with meals, documenting resident interactions, communicating changes to the charge nurse, and supporting wellness and recreational programs. The role requires CNA certification and adherence to infection prevention and PPE usage, with duties that may involve basic housekeeping and laundry, and collaboration within the nursing team. The position is full-time with day shifts and may offer a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- CNA training and certification required and provided by facility
- High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required
- A minimum of 12 hours continuing education annually
- Satisfactorily completes yearly competency testing and maintains certifications
- Background check and drug screen as condition of employment
