Job Summary
CNA Certified Nursing Assistant provides routine nursing care under supervision, performing resident rounds at shift start and every two hours, assisting with meals, bathing, dressing, mobility, and daily activities, ensuring safety and comfort per policies. Responsibilities include confirming resident identity before care, preparing residents for therapy or appointments, assisting in feeding, maintaining cleanliness and dignity, monitoring and reporting changes, and adhering to infection control and facility procedures. Requires current CNA license or active enrollment, with at least 6 months of CNA experience, and ability to communicate in English.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a school for nursing assistants or have a license as a certified nursing assistant
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a CNA or clinical experience while enrolled in a CNA class
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
- Patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm
- Good general health and emotional stability
- Able to relate to ill, disabled, elderly residents and their families
