Job Summary
Provide direct resident care in accordance with each resident’s assessment and care-plan, promoting a compassionate environment under supervision. Duties include observing and maintaining safety, infection control, assisting with feeding, positioning, range of motion, transfer and lifting residents, ensuring comfort, dignity, and privacy, and supporting activities. Requires integrity, teamwork, ability to read/write English, and a current state CNA certification; HS diploma or equivalent is required. Night and weekend shift differentials apply; benefits include medical/dental/vision, life insurance, disability, FSA, 401K, and PTO from day one. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform essential nursing assistant tasks in a long-term care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the state
- Must maintain a current certification in the state throughout employment
- Must have the ability to read and write in the English language, and follow oral and written directions
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with coworkers and supervisors
- Must be willing to assist others, including co-workers
- Must maintain regular attendance
- Must be in good health and demonstrate emotional stability. Must meet all local health regulations, pass post-employment physical exam if required. This requirement also includes drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry
- Must be capable of performing the essential functions of this job.
