Job Summary
Provides nursing-assistant care under RN supervision in the Cardiac Telemetry unit, assisting with bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activities, ambulation, monitoring vital signs, documenting in the EMR, and performing admissions/transfers/discharges under RN guidance. Performs specimen collection (urine, stool, sputum), maintains stock and cleanliness of nursing areas, supports patient positioning and safety, and ensures patient call lights are answered promptly. Requires Basic Life Support within 45 days and Nurse Aide registration in good standing. Education includes GED/HSED or high school diploma; no prior experience required. Shift: night, 36 hours per week, every other weekend and every other holiday. Benefits package described. Must demonstrate age-appropriate care and knowledge of growth and development.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days
- Nurse Aide in good standing as indicated with the State Registry in which the team member practices
- Education Required: GED or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED), or High School Graduate
