Job Summary
Nursing Assistant provides resident-centered care in long-term care, assisting with activities of daily living and basic health needs under the supervision of an RN. Responsibilities include bathing, toileting, grooming, feeding, vital signs, transferring/positioning, ROM/therapy aids, documentation of resident interactions, assisting with meals, supporting wellness and recreational programs, and maintaining infection control and PPE compliance. The role requires collaboration with nursing staff, adherence to care plans, and ongoing communication of changes in resident condition.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- CNA certification required and provided by facility
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains continuing education credits (minimum 12 hours annually)
- Medically qualified to perform essential driving functions if applicable per Sanford Driving Policy
