Job Summary
Build positive, therapeutic relationships with adolescents while observing, documenting, and reporting their behaviors, moods, and physical conditions. Assist residents with activities of daily living including hygiene, feeding, mobility, and personal care, and obtain vital signs to support nursing staff. Escort youth to meals, therapy groups, recreation, and appointments while teaching healthy coping skills and maintaining a safe, trauma-informed environment. Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies to support individualized care plans within a multidisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Active Missouri Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and assist with resident care and interventions
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in behavioral health, healthcare, residential treatment, or social services
- Experience working with adolescents
- Background in psychology, nursing, human services, criminal justice, education, or social work
