Job Summary
Provide Person-Centered Care as a CNA in Delaware Hospice settings, delivering compassionate patient care in home environments, assisting with light household tasks under RN supervision, and supporting families/caregivers while adhering to policies, procedures, and safety/ergonomic standards. Benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, retirement contributions, PTO, continuing education, mileage reimbursement, tuition assistance, and employee programs; requires DE Nurse Aide certification or 75-hour training and valid driver’s license; prior hospice/home-care experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Certification within the State of Delaware as a Nurse Aide or completion of a 75-hour training course and required competency testing
- Nursing students completing one academic year inclusive of direct patient care will be considered if certification requirements are fulfilled
- Sympathetic attitude toward the care of the dying patient
- Dependable transportation to patient\'s homes, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driver’s record
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Ability to lift and turn patients as needed, adhering to industry standards and guidelines for safety
- Comfort working in an environment with exposure to blood, body tissue, and fluids, following safety guidelines
