Job Summary
The CNA delivers direct personal care and supports comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients in hospice within Delaware facilities. Responsibilities include bathing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and safe ambulation; documenting care; coordinating with the hospice team and facility staff; adhering to infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards; and assisting with comfort-focused interventions and end-of-life care. Requires current certified nursing assistant certification (Delaware, with Pennsylvania certification where applicable), ability to lift and turn patients (up to 50 lbs), independent work capability within facility environments, and strong communication with the hospice team.
Required Qualifications
- Current Delaware Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing in Pennsylvania where applicable for New Castle County
- Minimum of one year of CNA experience in hospice, long-term care, or related healthcare setting preferred
