Job Summary
Provide direct, hands-on care to residents in a nursing home environment to ensure they attain or maintain the highest possible physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Assist residents with activities of daily living as outlined in care plans while completing documentation of resident care as assigned. Uphold safety policies, infection control guidelines, and community procedures to assure resident safety, reporting any changes in condition immediately to the Charge Nurse. Promote positive public relations with residents, family members, and guests while observing their rights regarding privacy and dignity.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Completed an approved training program
- Passed competency examinations in clinical skills
- Passed written knowledge examinations
- Compliance with statutory requirements for Certified Nurse Assistant
