Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living to promote independence and dignity, including bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting. Ensure resident safety by answering call lights timely and providing incontinent care while maintaining clean, dry environments. Follow the resident assignment schedule and lift, move, or transfer residents as required. Chart progress using electronic medical records and point-click care systems. Maintain good standing on the Texas Nurse Aide Registry and Misconduct Registry while communicating clearly in English. Perform movements involving lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must have current Nurse Aide certification in the state of Texas
- Must be in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in the state of Texas and Misconduct Registry
- Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
- Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents
- Have the ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
