Job Summary
Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living to promote resident independence and dignity. Provide bathing, grooming, dressing, nail care, feeding support, and mobility assistance; follow the charge nurse’s assignment schedule; Lift and transfer residents as required; respond to call lights promptly; utilize electronic medical records (PointClickCare); maintain safety and a supportive, protective environment for residents; comply with care plans and organizational standards; participate in recognition programs and maintain good communication with residents, families, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must have current Nurse Aide certification in the state of Texas
- Must be in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in the state of Texas
- Must be able to understand, remember and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
- Must be able to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents
