Job Summary
Certified Nurse Aide to assist residents with activities of daily living in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include bathing, showering, dressing, nail care, feeding, following the charge nurse’s assignment schedule, lifting/transferring residents, answering call lights, and maintaining resident safety. Use electronic medical records (PointClickCare) for charting. English-language communication required. Texas CNA certification and current good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry/Misconduct Registry are required. The role emphasizes resident independence and dignity within a supportive care environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Current Nurse Aide certification in Texas
- In good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in Texas and Misconduct Registry
- Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
- Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents
