Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living to promote independence and dignity, including bathing, showering, shaving, dressing, nail care, feeding, toileting, and providing incontinent care. Ensure resident safety by answering call lights timely, following the charge nurse's assignment schedule, and lifting, moving, and transferring residents as required. Maintain a supportive, protective, and safe environment while utilizing electronic medical records for charting. Must possess current Texas Nurse Aide certification, be in good standing on the Nurse Aide and Misconduct Registries, and have the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must have current Nurse Aide certification in the state of Texas
- Must be in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in the state of Texas and Misconduct Registry
- Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
- Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents
- Have the ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
