Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living to promote independence and dignity, including bathing, grooming, dressing, nail care, feeding, and toileting. Ensure resident safety by answering call lights timely, providing incontinent care, and maintaining clean, dry environments. Lift, move, and transfer residents as required, following the charge nurse's assignment schedule. Utilize electronic medical records for charting and point-of-care documentation. Maintain a supportive, protective, and safe environment while adhering to resident assignment schedules.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must have current Nurse Aide certification in the state of Texas
- Must be in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in the state of Texas and Misconduct Registry
- Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
- Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents
- Have the ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
