Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, showering, shaving, dressing, nail care, feeding, toileting, and incontinent care to promote independence and dignity. Ensure resident safety by answering call lights timely, following assignment schedules, and providing supportive environments. Lift, move, and transfer residents as required while utilizing electronic medical records for charting. Maintain cleanliness and dryness of residents assigned. This role is part of Focused Post Acute Care Partners FPACP, which emphasizes excellence in long-term care delivery and features a recognition program called ROCKStar for outstanding care and kindness.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must have current Nurse Aide certification in the state of Texas
- Must be in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in the state of Texas and Misconduct Registry
- Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
- Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents
- Have the ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
