Job Summary
Certified Nurse Aide needed to assist residents with activities of daily living to promote independence and dignity in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include bathing, grooming, nail care, assisting with mobility, following the charge nurse’s schedule, lifting and transferring residents safely, answering call lights, assisting with feeding, and maintaining resident safety. Documentation is performed in electronic medical records (PointClickCare). Minimum requirements include Texas Nurse Aide certification and good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry and Misconduct Registry; requires clear communication in English and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Current Nurse Aide certification in the state of Texas
- In good standing on the Texas Nurse Aide Registry and Misconduct Registry
- Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
- Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents
