Job Summary
Provide direct personal care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living and ensuring they remain clean, dry, and comfortable. Accurately check vitals including temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure, while weighing residents and recording weights. Complete required documentation and charting to meet state and facility standards, reporting resident information to the supervising nurse or manager. Perform additional duties such as food service, housekeeping, and wheelchair escorting as necessary. Initiate and participate in case conferences related to resident goals and care. Work a 45-hour shift from 7a-3p with rotating weekend schedules.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- MO CNA certification
- KS CNA certification
- Home Health aide certification
- Valid driver's license
- Basic level knowledge of Microsoft operating system and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent time management skills and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, handbooks and procedure manuals
- Ability to write simple sentences, paragraphs and correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few typical variations in routine, standard situations
- Maximum occasional lift of 75 lbs from knuckle to waist level
