Job Summary
Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and ambulation while taking and recording vital signs. Observe patient conditions, document care activities, and maintain a safe environment that preserves patient dignity. Provide direct patient care services at the Robley Rex Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Louisville, KY, supporting nursing staff in acute and long-term care settings. Candidates must hold current CNA certification with at least one year of experience within the last three years, possess BLS certification, and reside within 75 miles of the facility. Day, evening, and night shifts are available, with additional 12-hour rotations possible based on needs.
Required Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Minimum of one (1) year of CNA experience within the last three (3) years
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to pass background screening and VA credentialing requirements
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Must live within 75 miles of medical center
