Job Summary
Conduct quality care and assist residents with activities of daily living to encourage independence and community participation. Perform housekeeping duties including making beds, cleaning apartments and common areas, and assisting residents to and from dining rooms and activities. Report incidents, care concerns, and resident status changes to appropriate individuals such as HCC, RN/LPN, or ED while completing appropriate documentation. Check on residents, ensure meal attendance, and assist with move-in transitions for new residents. Respond promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts, maintaining calm and competence during emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Current CNA license from the State in which the community is located and in good standing with the Board of Nursing
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing
- Organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel
- Contributing member of nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor
- Polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs
- Ability to safely lift and transfer residents while maintaining proper body mechanics
- CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire
- Ability to represent the community in a positive and professional manner
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays
