Job Summary
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility. Measure and record vital signs, report changes to nursing staff, and aid in transferring and positioning patients to prevent falls. Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control protocols and participate in the Respiratory Protection Program. Provide emotional support and communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Work 0.6 FTE (2x12-hour shifts per week) under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must be able to perform jobs in all patient care and operational areas subject to reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to employ all mandatory safety devices and procedures
- Must participate in the Respiratory Protection Program, which may include the wearing of a respirator
- Must be able to assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility
- Must be able to measure and record vital signs
- Must be able to aid in transferring and positioning patients to prevent falls and injuries
- Must be able to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by following infection control protocols
