Job Summary
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility while measuring and recording vital signs. Aid in transferring and positioning patients to prevent falls, maintain a clean and sanitary environment following infection control protocols, and provide emotional support and companionship. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This union position requires 0.6 FTE (2x12 hours/week) and includes participation in the Respiratory Protection Program.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must be able to perform jobs in all patient care and operational areas subject to reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to employ all mandatory safety devices and procedures
- Must participate in the Respiratory Protection Program, which may include the wearing of a respirator
- Must be able to assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility
- Must be able to measure and record vital signs
- Must be able to aid in transferring and positioning patients to prevent falls and injuries
- Must be able to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by following infection control protocols
