Job Summary
Provide essential daily living support and basic patient care as an integral member of the patient care team under the direction of registered nurses. Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility, while measuring and recording vital signs. Aid in transferring and positioning patients to prevent falls, maintain a clean environment through infection control protocols, and offer emotional support and companionship. Participate in the Respiratory Protection Program as required. Work three 12-hour shifts weekly.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must be able to perform jobs in all patient care and operational areas subject to reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to employ all mandatory safety devices and procedures
- Must participate in the Respiratory Protection Program, which may include the wearing of a respirator
- This is a union position
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in healthcare or long-term care preferred
