Job Summary
Prepare, administer and chart non-parenteral drugs as prescribed; measure pulse and blood pressure; administer PRN drugs; assist with admission, discharge and transfer procedures; maintain accurate documentation in the Medication Administration Record, Controlled Substance and Destructions logs, and Resident Records; apply Life Stories Training techniques to minimize resident stress and maximize cooperation with dignity and empathy. Must pass background check and drug screen. Education includes state-approved Medication Technician Training; high school diploma or GED required; one year of experience preferred. Required Qualifications
- Completion of a state approved Medication Technician Training Program is required
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- Current state Medication Technician Certification is required
