CMT Operations Manager

Job Summary
Oversee daily operations for a third-party testing and inspection firm, aligning technician assignments with training and certification requirements while managing staffing, hiring, and performance. Verify billing accuracy, review invoices, and support financial tracking for ongoing projects. Maintain laboratory accreditation and ensure all personnel certifications remain current and compliant with industry standards. Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance to staff to support professional growth and maintain competency. Drive client satisfaction and retention through proactive relationship management, issue resolution, and consistent, high-value communication. Complete and submit field reports accurately.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction
- 3 years in a Leadership or Management capacity
- Appropriate construction materials testing and inspection certifications (ACI, ICC, NICET, etc.)
- OSHA 10 certification required
- Proven experience in office administration, coordination, or operations support
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of safety practices, OSHA principles, and field compliance requirements
- Ability to conduct training and assist with onboarding new employees
- Comfortable attending and leading team, safety, and client meetings
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital filing systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between Idaho Falls, Pocatello, Wyoming, and surrounding areas
- Complete/submit field reports accurately
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with inspection, and materials testing
- Appropriate construction materials testing and inspection certifications (ACI, ICC, NICET, etc.); preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to perform field inspections, testing, and documentation when needed, if certified
