Job Summary
Concrete/Soils/Aggregate laboratory technician role in Tucson, AZ. Responsibilities include performing standard laboratory tests on soils, concrete, aggregate, and asphalt; maintaining certifications (ATTI/ASTM/AASHTO; ACI Concrete Strength); handling equipment and samples (proctors, sieves, Atterberg Limits, compression, sampling, splitting); strong math, computer, and communication skills; must lift 25 pounds and hold a valid driver's license. Full-time position with Ninyo & Moore (SOCOTEC Company) in Tucson, AZ.
Required Qualifications
- ATTI/ASTM/AASHTO and a current ACI Concrete Strength certification
- Experience in laboratory testing for soils, concrete, aggregate and/or asphalt
- Knowledge of standard laboratory test methods including proctors, sieves, Atterberg Limits, Compression, Sampling, and splitting of samples
- Excellent mathematical, computer, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Must have a current valid driver's license and the ability to lift 25 pounds repeatedly as part of daily duties
