CMT Certified Medication Technician

Provide routine medication administration and personal care for residents to maintain high-quality resident care. Set up and administer medications per physician orders and state/federal regulations; chart routine medications and observations; manage medication inventory; perform rounds with nurse and physician; maintain resident documentation for activities of daily living and restorative programs; participate in training to maintain certification. Requires high school diploma or GED and Nurse Aide Training program completion or eligibility, plus completion of a state-approved training course for medication administration; ability to perform basic math and communicate effectively with staff, residents, families, and external agencies.
