Job Summary
Administer medication to residents under nursing direction while monitoring for side effects and interactions. Provide medical and physical care, manage personal care needs, and assist with activities of daily living including mealtimes and therapies. Observe residents for changing conditions, document vital signs in electronic health records, and report hazards to the Charge Nurse. Maintain meaningful relationships with residents and families while respecting privacy and HIPAA requirements. Respond to incoming calls and support decision-making regarding daily activities.
Required Qualifications
- Current CMT certification in the state of practice
- High-school diploma or GED
- CPR certification and first aid training
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to push/pull 45 lbs
- Willing to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience with direct care
- Basic computer skills
- A desire to be part of the 'Person Centered Care' team
