Job Summary
Develop and implement lesson plans for 6th through 8th-grade audio visual and digital design classes, adapting materials to reflect diverse student learning styles and needs. Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing while helping students analyze and improve study methods. Manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and supervise assigned teacher aides or volunteers. Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process and assume responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned. Compile, maintain, and file all required reports, records, and documents while participating in faculty meetings and staff committees.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- At least one year student teaching or approved internship
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university preferred
