Job Summary
Develop innovative programs to establish the Medical Center as the preferred practice location for physicians while ensuring all care meets the highest standards for quality, timeliness, and appropriateness. Provide clinical oversight for performance improvement, utilization management, and quality activities, and collaborate with senior management on new clinical programs. Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards including The Joint Commission, DOH, CMC, OMH, OASAS, and New York State. Develop a comprehensive physician recruitment and retention strategy, manage medical staff relationships and committee participation, and supervise medical staff performance. Prepare and maintain coverage schedules. This role requires an active unrestricted MD or DO license in NYS, board certification, and 10 years of healthcare delivery experience with at least 5 years in leadership.
Required Qualifications

- Board Certified in specialty
- actively practicing medicine
- 10 years' experience in a healthcare delivery system
- at least 5 years in a progressively responsible leadership role
- Knowledge of industry regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial HMO's
