CMM Programmer

Job Summary
Develop, generate, and optimize CMM programs for new and existing parts, for dimensional inspection using CMM and related inspection tools. Read and interpret GD&T data, comply with internal quality systems and AS9102/ASME Y14.5 requirements, and support QA through in-process, final, and incoming inspections including First Article Inspections. Work with CAD models (CATIA/Enovia) to create accurate inspection programs, analyze GD&T requirements, improve programs for efficiency and cycle time, and collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to support new product introduction and process improvements. Utilize CMM software such as Zeiss, Calypso, PC-DMIS, MCOSMOS, VeriSurf, Wenzel, and related tools to develop, validate, and troubleshoot inspection programs; perform CMM inspections for layout and validation, maintain inspection reports and quality records, and coordinate with Quality and Manufacturing to meet production schedules and quality goals. This onsite role is based in Rockford, MI and requires adherence to safety and quality policies, support continuous improvement initiatives, and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality or CMM programming role
- Demonstrated success in CMM Programming
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, Catia, and Enovia specifications
- Experience with CMM Software such as Zeiss, Calypso, PC-DMIS, MCOSMOS, VeriSurf, Wenzel, etc.
- If versed in other CMM programs, a willingness to learn those above is a must.
- Knowledge of aerospace inspection techniques, trigonometry, and measuring practices
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Proven analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience with first article reports, recordkeeping, and documentation control
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
