CMM Programmer I

Job Summary
Develop new, troubleshoot, and edit existing inspection programs utilizing CMM/Gauge software for simple to medium complexity components. Create new programs and modify plans using 3D CAD models, design custom operator prompts, and prove-out inspection plans for navigational and computational errors. Provide mechanical inspection support, communicate CMM results with graphical analysis, and maintain reports including GRR and correlation data. Qualify, assemble, and calibrate CMM/Gauge stylus systems while performing basic troubleshooting and fixing workholding. Engage in Continuous Improvement projects and follow ISO regulated processes. Requires 3 years of CMM programming experience, ASME Y14.5M certification, and proficiency in Calypso, PCDMIS, or Modus. Shifts range from 8 to 12 hours with potential overtime and alternate shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- BS or AS Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality or other engineering discipline
- 3 years minimum as a CMM Programmer using automated inspection software
- Technologist ASME Y14.5M-2009/2018 engineering drawing standards certificate (or equivalent)
- Basic and advanced course certification of inspection software training (Calypso, PCDMIS, Modus, ATOS, etc.)
- Ability to use Microsoft office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access)
- Program Management Software (GitKraken)
- Regular on-site attendance

Desired Qualifications
- BS or AS Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality or other engineering discipline preferred
- Effective communication skills both written and verbally
- Help out occasionally without being asked

- Communicate effectively to supervision regarding problems and corrective action
- Participate in 5S Workplace organizational activities and maintain the area in good working order through sustainment activities
