Job Summary

Program and operate coordinate measuring machines including Leica with scanning technology, and other portable CMMs with Polyworks software. Approve the start of production through dimensional measurement of sample parts and inspect both first pieces and final inspections prior to delivery. Develop, qualify, and maintain CMM programs while reading blueprints to determine specifications and tolerances for milled and fabricated weldments. Ensure containment activities occur when discrepancies are identified and relay inspection findings to Production leads. Review and refine data collection requirements according to customer drawings, models, work orders, purchase orders, sketches, and PPAP requirements. Participate in corrective and preventative action processes and Gage R & R Studies. Utilize a wide variety of inspection tools to complete dimensional reports. Requires three to five years of related experience, GD&T knowledge, and familiarity with AS9100 and IS14001 standards.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Three to five years related experience
  • GD&T experience for print reading
  • Basic caliper, micrometer, and bore gage knowledge
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and IS14001
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram format
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • The ability displayed and accuracy of work produced, meeting company standards, and requiring little to no rework
  • Searches out new tasks and expands their ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision
  • Punctuality and attendance
  • Willingness and cooperativeness with co-workers and supervisors; ability to accept constructive criticism
  • Follow quality environmental policies
