Job Summary
Operate the Brown & Sharp DCC Coordinate Measuring Machine to inspect automotive components, reading blueprints, math data, and GD&T instructions while using calipers, micrometers, and height gages. Perform MSA and SPC analysis with training provided, prepare written reports, and present findings to management, employees, suppliers, and customers. Safely lift up to 40 pounds, use slings and hoists, and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines with minimal direct supervision. Requires high school diploma or three years of CMM experience and successful completion of the AIAG MSA Certification Exam within one year.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- 3+ years' experience operating a CMM machine
- Successful completion of AIAG MSA Certification Exam
- Able to safely lift up to 40 pounds without assistance
- Able to safely use slings and hoists
- Able to maintain punctuality and good attendance record
- Able to maintain confidentiality, and use discretion and tact
- Able to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Able to work flexible hours and overtime
- Must display a can-do attitude and be able to work and perform job responsibilities with a minimum amount of direct supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, math data, reports, instructions and guidelines
- Proficient in MSA and SPC (Training to be provided)
- Proficient in using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Proficient in using measuring instruments, i.e. caliper, micrometer, height gages, etc.
- Able to use Brown & Sharp DCC Coordinate Measuring Machine
- Able to demonstrate understanding of how job performance affects product quality and customer satisfaction
- Able to work well with others; build and maintain positive employee relations
- Able to prepare, read and interpret written reports, instructions, procedures and guidelines
- Proficient in personal computer operation and applications in a MS Windows operating system
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, suppliers and customer
