CMM Inspector

Job Summary
Inspect parts using CMM or manual methods, adjusting CMM programs and performing in-process, first-off, and final inspection activities. Evaluate conformance to engineering requirements and raise nonconforming material for corrective action investigations. Maintain accurate documentation including PCPs, critical feature requirements, and FAIR data while ensuring all quality matters are resolved with the Quality or Production Team. Work 39 hours per week during dayshift rotations from Monday to Thursday and Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Support the manufacturing process to ensure production is not delayed through robust inspection practices and techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the right to live and work in the UK
- A Minimum of 3 years' experience working within a high precision manufacturing environment
- Proficient in alternate controls software to create programs for inspection
- Previous experience working in a similar role
- Understanding of CMM Best practice techniques
- In Depth Knowledge of GD & T
- Work to high level of accuracy
- Understanding of drawing tolerances & specifications
- Proficient in the use of IT Software, including Word & Excel
- Recognised CMM Training or Programmer/operator training
Desired Qualifications
- ONC/HNC level or equivalent Certified internal auditor
- Full apprenticeship/time served in machining or relevant skills applicable to the role
- Adjusting CMM programs & Writing Programs
- Security Clearance
- Working knowledge of Mitutoyo CMM's using COSMOS Platform
- PC-DMIS Platform
