CMM Inspector

Job Summary
Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect machined components and assemblies, interpreting and verifying parts against engineering drawings, GD&T callouts, and customer specifications. Perform dimensional inspection and document measurement results, identifying non-conforming parts to communicate findings to production and engineering teams. Maintain calibration records, support first article inspections (FAI) and in-process quality checks, and collaborate with machinists to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Requires experience with PC-DMIS or Zeiss Calypso, proficiency in ASME Y14.5, and familiarity with hand measurement tools. Located in Paterson, NJ, with paid time off benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CMM equipment
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
- Experience in a precision machining or manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with hand measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Knowledge of quality management systems and inspection documentation practices
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines in a team environment
