Job Summary
Weigh customer trucks, issue proof of purchase tickets, collect payment, and verify tare weights to ensure compliance with State of California Weights and Measures guidelines. Review and adjust daily materials dispatch to confirm correct deliveries, utilizing the JWS system to assign trucks to proper orders and verify loaded weights. Maintain communication with plant foremen to ensure timely loading, assist with material orders, and prepare reports for company policy adherence. Perform routine housekeeping duties and uphold safety initiatives while supporting corporate values.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of materials business
- Strong understanding of federal, state and local laws, policies and procedures
- Ability to establish relationships with agencies and represent Granite in a public forum
- Strong public speaking and ability to communicate with management
- Team player
- Ability to abide by Granite's Code of Conduct on a daily basis
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Desired Qualifications
- Commercial or retail sales experience
- Knowledge and experience with Hot Mix Asphalt Plants
- General understanding of Plant operations and mechanical requirements
