Job Summary
Certified Medication Assistant II (CMA II) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. Responsibilities include administering prescribed medications as delegated, documenting outcomes related to resident care, collecting non-invasive specimens and vital signs, assisting with transfers and range-of-motion activities, supporting meals and dining experiences, and participating in wellness and recreational programs. Requires CMA II certification (or equivalent state certification) and appropriate nursing assistant credentials per state requirements. PRN/on-call scheduling with 12-hour shifts and wage starting at $22+/hour depending on experience.
Required Qualifications
- CMA II license required at time of hire
- CNA certification in state practice (Iowa/North Dakota/Minnesota/South Dakota) or CMA course completion as applicable
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- minimum age 18 preferred
- states-specific competency and continuing education requirements
- drug screen and pre-employment background check
- ability to obtain vehicle insurance/driver's license if applicable
