Job Summary
The CMA provides direct nursing care to patients under the supervision of a physician, nurse, and/or the Practice Manager, assists in other areas of the medical office and satellite offices, and completes documentation, diagnostic imaging and lab requisitions, patient education, and scheduling/referrals. Responsibilities include preparing visit paperwork, obtaining vital signs and patient history, assisting with examinations, ensuring timely documentation, handling lab/x-ray coordination, and cross-training as Receptionist for Medical Arts/Satellite offices; requires certification, CPR/BLS, ability to work at satellite offices, and occasional Saturday mornings. The role supports multiple specialties (Cardiology, Urology, Orthopedic, Spine, etc.).
Required Qualifications
- Certification through a nationally recognized certifying agency is required
- CPR (BLS) certification is required or must be able to become certified upon hire
- Venipuncture experience is preferred
- Must be available to work Saturday mornings
