Job Summary
Medical Assistant role in Paradise Valley clinic; assist patients and nurses, document in EMR, coordinate care with home health, pharmacy, and insurance providers; collaborate with medical providers to obtain necessary documentation for timely referral processing; stay current on reimbursement policies and procedures; attend departmental meetings and ongoing training; model professional and compassionate behavior; proficient in Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel for communication and documentation; onsite Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM; working as part of a small team with minimal supervision; organization and teamwork emphasized; organization-wide equal opportunity employer; must be legally authorized to work in the United States; pre-employment screenings required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification required
- 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting as a Medical Assistant preferred (especially with injections and phlebotomy)
- Previous infusion experience is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and vendors
- Competency in using Microsoft Office Suite and company self-service payroll software
- Sensitivity to cultural and language differences in patient care
- Basic mathematical skills for routine calculations
- Predictive Index Assessment as part of recruitment process
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds as required
