Job Summary
Monitor and evaluate patients, including vitals, assessments, and nurse visits. Administer medications and injections; assist with bone marrow procedures. Educate patients and monitor for changes in condition or treatment response. Perform daily chart reviews, coordinate referrals, and track lab/pathology reports. Transport patients between exam rooms and chemo sub wait areas. Cross-train to act as a scribe as needed. Triage patient calls by collecting medical history and symptom details; document and relay information in EHR, ensuring follow-up within 24 hours. Physicians' Clinic of Iowa's Hematology and Oncology Department delivers high-volume, fast-paced patient care. Required Qualifications
- Medical certification/license
- CPR certification
- Strong Commitment to patient care and teamwork
- Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems
