Job Summary
Assist RNs, physicians, and other providers by delivering direct patient care in an ambulatory setting for patients ranging from newborns to the elderly. Perform identified procedures based on demonstrated competencies while maintaining high-quality, compassionate care aligned with Essentia Health's mission. This role requires current Medical Assistant certification or LPN licensure, plus Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. Schedule includes 48 hours every two weeks with no weekends, holidays, or call obligations. Day shifts run from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Education as required for licensure
- Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Program, with certification required within one year of hire
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the relevant state
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified
- Ability to obtain BCLS certification within three months
- Verification of legal right to work in the United States
- Health screening and immunization review
- Verification of applicable licensure, certifications, education, and experience
- Background checks including criminal, urine drug screen and MVR where required
