Job Summary
Collect subjective and objective health status data from patients and communicate findings to Endocrinology providers. Perform point of care testing, obtain vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations under direct supervision. Coordinate provider schedules, manage daily scheduling adjustments, and handle patient scheduling, insurance validation, and demographic verification. Deliver preventative care, health maintenance, and follow-up across the lifespan while ensuring seamless patient experiences. Requires CMA or LPN certification, BLS within six months, and a valid driver's license. Day shift, 40 hours weekly with a Monday through Friday schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program
- Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA)
- Certification (CMA) obtained through a nationally approved certification program for medical assistant, including but not limited to: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National HealthCareer Association (NHA), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)...
- Registration (RMA) obtained through the American Medical Technologists (AMT) also acceptable
- Additional state requirements include: North Dakota (ND) registration as an MAIII through the ND Board of Nursing
- When applicable, maintenance of a valid driver's license and good driving record is required
- Employees are held to the Sanford category driver's license policy and medical guidelines when applicable for job duties
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment
- Re-certification as required
