Job Summary
Certified Medical Assistant duties include being a member of the patient care team, performing a variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for clinic patients, assisting physicians, and maintaining primary responsibility for technical procedures and operation/care of the nursing unit under supervision of the Patient Care Manager. Licensed Practical Nurse duties include providing nursing care to patients with health problems, applying basic nursing principles and ethics, and participating in the organization/management of the physician's practice. The role encompasses clinic-based patient care in Lexington with required CPR/BLS, state licensure, IV certification (for LPN), and at least two years of relevant experience in medical office settings.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training from an accredited medical assistant program; CPR certification required; two years broad experience with emphasis in family practice.
- LPN: graduation certificate from an accredited LPN school; basic life support and CPR certifications; Kentucky state licensure required; IV certification; minimum two years experience with emphasis in medical office duties.
