Job Summary
Provide a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider, or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards. Maintain Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification and hold either a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) credential. Complete one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience in lieu of formal education program requirements. This role supports the internal medicine department at Piedmont Medical Care Corporation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Completion of a Nursing Assistant program
- One (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)-NCTT
