Job Summary
Administer and assist with resident medications in accordance with state regulations and company policies. Ensure all medication documentation is current, including forms and physician orders, while maintaining resident charts and keeping medication carts and rooms stocked. Control access to medication carts and rooms, coordinate orders and deliveries with pharmacies, and communicate resident status changes or at-risk needs to the Wellness Director. Assist in updating care plans, train care associates, and oversee charting by Resident Assistants. This role supports direct care following individualized care plans within the assisted living community.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma
- GED
- Active CMA license with the Georgia Certified Medication Aide Registry
Desired Qualifications
- Can follow written or verbal instructions
- Ability to read and comprehend physician orders and resident care plans
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to residents, residents' families, and other associates of the company
- Uses good judgment in emergency situations and gets help when needed
