Job Summary
Administer prescribed medications to residents per facility protocols and physician orders while monitoring vital signs and documenting adverse reactions. Maintain a clean medication storage area, follow infection control procedures, and provide compassionate assistance to address resident needs. Collaborate with nurses and doctors to coordinate care plans, complete medication administration records, and file incident reports. Requires current Oklahoma CMA certification, high school diploma, and ability to lift residents. Weekdays or weekends shifts available; PRN basis.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as a Medication Aide (CMA) as required by Oklahoma regulations
- Ability to lift and transfer residents as needed
- Ability to perform tasks that require physical stamina and endurance
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and other relevant technology
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar environment
